For the past five years, in what has become a much-anticipated and beloved annual event, Afternoon of Praise singers and orchestra members from diverse congregations across Alabama spend months practicing before gathering with Dove Award nominee Richard Kingsmore at Talladega's Historic Ritz Theatre to produce a professional Christian concert and praise experience to raise funds for The Red Door Kitchen and The Samaritan House, two charitable organizations that provide services necessary to those in need in the Talladega community.
Both organizations depend on the funds raised each year by Afternoon of Praise, so we hope you will join us at The Ritz at 2:30 pm or 4:30 pm on Sunday, August 20, 2017 to praise God, enjoy music we all love, and to support organizations that help those in need in our community. Together, we can make a real and positive difference! Ticket cost is $20, and tickets are available from Afternoon of Praise singers and orchestra members, at First United Methodist Church of Talladega (256 362-2891), or at The Ritz Theatre (256 315-0000).
