“African Americans and Art” is the theme of the second annual Savery-Tarrant Colloquium and Lunch, which will be held Thursday, May 3, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., in the Savery Library. The cost of $35 covers lunch, entertainment, all presentations and the reception. For more information, or to purchase tickets, call the College at 256-761-8832 or 256-761-6221. Dr. Graham C. Boettcher, the R. Hugh Daniel Director of the Birmingham Museum of Art, will deliver the keynote address. His presentation will be followed by a lunch, book signing, and panel discussion moderated by renowned artist Dr. Art Bacon. Colloquium participants will proceed to the Goodnow Art Center for a gallery talk and exhibition by Dr. Bacon at 2 p.m. The talk will be followed by a reception.
